Musical Background

My musical background is rooted in rock guitar, metal and neo-classical shred, and my style is influenced by Randy Rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen, Ace Frehley, Eddie Van Halen and several other innovative guitarists.

LESSONS

Based in San Jose, I offer private guitar instruction to players of all levels and ages. I especially welcome and encourage beginners!  A typical session runs 45 minutes, and my rates are very reasonable.

I have a relaxed approach to instruction, and I tailor my lessons to the needs of each of my students to help them achieve their playing goals. I encourage regular practice, however, I always keep it fun and interesting by helping you apply what you learn to your favorite songs.

Some of the techniques that I specialize in teaching are:

• Alternate picking & speed picking
• Sweep picking & arpeggios
• Legato phrasing
• Scale patterns
• Two-handing tapping

Additionally, I offer guidance with recording tips, programming, sampling and Pro Tools tutoring.
